"How can frozen food arrive frozen if it's delivered by courier?"

The answer is actually one of the reasons we're so passionate about what we do.

Frozen Food Doesn't Need Refrigerated Vans

Many people assume frozen food must travel in refrigerated vehicles from our warehouse to your door.

In reality, that's often less efficient.

Instead, every Mighty Plants order is carefully packed using insulated liners and dry ice, allowing products to stay safely frozen throughout their journey without needing temperature-controlled delivery vehicles. See our delivery FAQ's here. 

Why We Use Dry Ice

Dry ice is simply frozen carbon dioxide.

Unlike normal ice, it doesn't melt into water. Instead, it slowly turns directly into gas (called sublimation), helping keep your order frozen while avoiding soggy packaging.

Because it disappears naturally, there's no melted water to deal with when your delivery arrives.

Insulated Packaging That Works

Every frozen order is packed inside high-performance insulated liners.

These liners slow down temperature changes, meaning your frozen food stays frozen for significantly longer while travelling through the courier network.

Together with dry ice, they create a highly effective cold chain that keeps products protected from dispatch to delivery.

Why Couriers Can Be More Sustainable

It might sound surprising, but using established courier networks can often be a more sustainable solution than operating a dedicated fleet.

Courier companies already have vehicles delivering thousands of parcels every day. By making use of those existing routes, we're avoiding running additional vehicles purely for our own deliveries.

Rather than sending a half-full van around the country, our orders travel within an established logistics network that's already making those journeys.
